I Didn’t Ask For This:
A Lifetime Of D!ck Pics

Said to have “redefined female empowerment” by Vice, this viral, traveling, art and ideas festival examined what it means to be a woman in modern day society. We welcomed over 15,000 attendees, garnered 100M social media impressions, and featured work and appearances from 75+ feminist artists, speakers, educators, and icons.

Exhausted by the constant harassment that women are expected to silently endure, we launched I Didn’t Ask For This: A Lifetime of D!ck Pics. The subversive gallery show and experiential installation quickly grew to become a viral, traveling, feminist festival with 15,000 attendees.

Featuring hundreds of unsolicited dick pics inside a full recreation of a woman’s home, this exhibit cheekily illustrated that no matter where we go–women can never escape the patriarchy.

Along side the home exhibit was artwork from 50+ artists, sex-ed workshops, educational panels, an uninhibited dance party, multiple branded photo booth opportunities, and a pop-up feminist marketplace.

As much a condemnation of harassment as it was a celebration of empowerment, this series awakened a new generation of loud and proud feminism.

The festival and our founder received international media acclaim and notoriety from over 100 million impressions on social media. Vice said that the show “redefined female empowerment.” Playboy remarked that we “kicked civility to the curb,” and Huffpost claimed that our “exposure of the normalization of misogyny was groundbreaking.”

This attention not only raised funds for our non-profit partners but greatly increased social impact and consumer awareness for our brand sponsors.
